You gotta hand it to Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums: He’s really good at calling on other people to do things. Yesterday, reports the Trib, the mayor called on state law enforcement officials to expand their investigation of the Chauncey Bailey case and examine why the cops delayed raiding Your Black Muslim Bakery for two days last year. As the Chauncey Bailey Project has pointed out, the decision to delay the raid (two senior police officials wanted to finish their backpacking trip first) likely cost reporter Chauncey Bailey his life, as he was murdered the day after the raid was originally scheduled.
