“Dance, Jigaboo, Dance.”

Roughly one year after Richmond Police Chief Chris Magnus arrived to take control of a department struggling to handle the rising murder rate, one third of his entire command staff have announced they intend to sue him and the city for racial discrimination. According to the Contra Costa Times, the lawsuit will allege that Magnus harrassed six black police managers because of their race, even telling one of them, “dance, jigaboo, dance,” while white cops looked on, laughing. Magnus has strenuously denied the charges.
