Great antique collectives have sprouted up all over the East Bay, from Walnut Creek to Benicia. But Martinez is the mother ship, and Olde Towne is your first stop. The cavernous two-story building holds collections from dozens of dealers. If you’re into ephemera, old china, nautical and military antiques, baseball collectibles, fine and otherwise usable furniture, handcrafted lamp shades, fishing lures and reels, advertising memorabilia, depression glass, books, records, “tobacciana,” and more, this is the place. Just as important: the prices are reasonable, the staff friendly, and the selection so diverse you’ll spend hours poking about the place.
