At Marzano’s Rockridge trattoria the antipasti is appetizing indeed, offering a menu of lusty Neapolitan snacks that are distinctive enough to make a memorable meal all on their own. Opt for juicy, smoky wood-fired meatballs served on a bed of Swiss chard and prosciutto; Sicilian rice balls stuffed with mozzarella, pine nuts, and golden raisins; pan-roasted octopus draped with preserved lemon and arugula; bruschetti topped with prosciutto, corona beans, or house-pulled mozzarella; a feathery fritto misto of asparagus, summer squash, fennel, and cauliflower; eggplant fritters with currants, pecorino, and a dollop of tomato jam. You also can order an antipasti board piled with snap peas, radishes, prosciutto, watercress, and grilled goat cheese wrapped in grape leaves. Abondanza!
