Walnut Creek Church Goes Solar

Increasingly, churches are using theological rationale as inspiration to go green. The latest to join the cause is St. Paul’s Church in Walnut Creek, which recently installed solar panels, according to Episcopal Life online. The installation came after its environmental committee decided to form an LLC, Sonlight Solar, in order to take advantage of federal tax credits and state incentives available for solar power systems. The rest of the $187,000 cost was paid for by loans from parishioners.
