It’s looking pretty tough for Jamoke Hodge, the wife of incumbent school board member Greg Hodge, to succeed him in office. Her opponent, Olugbemiga Oluwole, has snagged the endorsements of the Oakland teacher’s union, the chamber of commerce, and the local Democratic party. When business, labor, and the only relevant political party line up against you, that’s a damn tough row to hoe.
