According to the Trib, the Oakland police made a run on 28 different clubs on August 30, checking to see if the clubs offered dancing, live music, or DJs without the requisite permit. Five clubs drew fines for daring to dance the Forbidden Dance: Easy Lounge, Lara’s Bar, the Bird Kage, Eli’s Mile High Club, and Mama Buzz.
