Federal immigration officials raided a five-bedroom home in Hercules, discovering a grim stash house where at least twenty illegal immigrants lived and allegedly slaved away at a Chinese restaurant chain. According to the Contra Costa Times, the walls and floors were covered with tarps, and rice cookers, hot plates, and campfire stoves were strewn about the place. The immigrants, who hailed from China, Indonesia, Guatemala, and Singapore, are in federal custody awaiting deportation.
