UC Berkeley Prof: Spend Wiser on Education

Despite huge spending increases on education in the last few decades, student achievement hasn’t risen accordingly. So says UC Berkeley professor W. Norton Grubb in his new book The Money Myth: School Resources, Outcomes, and Equity. Instead of spending more money, says the education professor in a recent feature in the LA Times, we should look at which expenditures actually improve education and which ones don’t.
