Best Adventure Game

It’s the Amazing Race meets the East Bay. Teams of two explore the
urban landscape of the East Bay by solving clues, reaching checkpoints,
and letting their competitive drive guide the way. Bring out your inner
Berkeley with a crazy costume for a chance to win Best Uniform ($50
gift certificate). First, second, and third place qualify for the
Championship race in Las Vegas, with a chance to win the grand prize of
more than $12,000. The High Trek Urban Adventure hits the East Bay
August 29 at noon, so start brushing up on your eighth-grade math and
Trivial Pursuit skills. Most competitors take three to five hours to
complete the race, but High Trek is adamant this is a test of wit, not
strength. Sample clue from the Portland race: “Find this retailer near
Jamison Square in the Pearl District. It shares its name with a member
