Change the Speed Limit on the Bridge to 40 MPH

In the wake of yesterday’s fatal accident, CalTrans plans to add new signs, warning motorists about the hazardous S-curve on the Bay Bridge, according to the Chron. The signs are a welcome addition, but the agency apparently is not planning to implement what could be a simple fix – lower the speed on the upper deck to 40 miles per hour.
