Captain Ed Poulson, an internal affairs commander who is being investigated by the FBI in connection with the death of an East Oakland man nearly a decade ago, has returned to duty in an administrative role. According to the Trib and the Chron, new Police Chief Anthony Batts ordered Poulson, who had been receiving his full salary while on leave, to come back to work.
