Following up the release of its very successful Oracular Spectacular album in 2007, Brooklyn duo MGMT is set to release Congratulations on April 13. To celebrate, the Express is hosting a free listening party at the Uptown on Friday, Apr. 2, from 6-9 p.m., in partnership with Sony Music, Amoeba Music, and the Uptown. The first 50 attendees will receive limited-edition white vinyl 7-inch of Time to Pretend, and there will also be a raffle for T-shirts, signed Oracular Spectacular, and limited-edition etched 10-inch vinyl of Metanoia.
