A couple weeks ago, Adam Mansbach — the Berkeley author responsible for Go the Fuck to Sleep and, more recently, the novel Rage Is Back, on which I waxed rhapsodic in last week’s paper — did something pretty awesome: He released the first chapter of his book for free — not on his own site, not on some highbrow books blog, but on the hip-hop site RapGenius.
