Painter Dan Isaac Bortz invites you into his inner visions at Search Party, a solo exhibit at downtown Oakland’s Naming Gallery. The show will feature all new works by the artist, including colorful paintings and an installation of familiar objects in unfamiliar settings. Bortz’s work plays with perception and imagination, using bold colors and incongruous cues. He describes his exhibit as “a torch in a dark unknown forest” of the dream realm from where he draws inspiration. The Naming Gallery is hosting a reception for the Search Party the evening of Saturday, April 15, complete with music from the Jose Waine Band. Go see for yourself and share what you find!
