Making a valiant effort not to gain weight as holiday party season rolls into high gear? Then don’t watch this mouthwatering video of the annual ANG Newspaper Holiday Cookie Contest’s judgement day. Culinary students whipped up dozens of recipes submitted by readers of the chain’s local dailies including the Oakland Trib and The Argus, and the lucky judges rated each batch on taste, texture, appearance, originality, and overall appeal. (Shocking that they didn’t make the cookies take the damn SAT, too, eh?) Winners will be announced December 13. Just remember that if you hightail it to the vending machine after watching the video, you won’t be one.
