Officials with the Fremont semiconductor firm Asyst Technologies haven’t exactly had the most pleasant couple of months, what with the whole admitting to defrauding your shareholders thing. But they can pop the champagne today, thanks to a federal jury that just awarded them $74.7 million in a patent infringement lawsuit. According to the Silicon Valley Business Journal, the jury found that the German firm Jenoptik AG and other companies violeted an Asyst patent related to the company’s Smart Traveler technology.
