.Three Members of Missing Kim Family Found

The Oregon State Police are reporting that three members of San Francisco’s missing Kim family — mom Kati and daughters Penelope, 4, and Sabine, 7 months — have been found alive and in “encouraging” condition. Kati Kim was spotted in the Rogue River area of Bear Camp Viewpoint by a helicopter search crew as she waved an umbrella, and the three were flown to a local hospital. Father James Kim, a senior editor at CNET.com, remains missing and the search for him continues. News.com is reporting that he left the family two days ago on snowshoes to seek help; SFGate.com is reporting that family members have even rented helicopters to aid the official search. The Kims disappeared November 25 during a road trip to Washington, where James Kim was conducting interviews for a book on Microsoft’s Zune MP3 player. The Oregon State Police will hold a press conference at 5 pm Monday, which CNET will stream live.
