The Rum Diary … Returns!

After a lengthy hiatus and uncertainty about the band’s future, Cotati’s instrumental indie outfit The Rum Diary has re-emerged with a new line-up and 4-way 7-inch split record, North v. South. The limited-edition color vinyl released by Springman Records also features new songs from Facing New York, The Jade Shader, and Years Around The Sun. New drummer Jake Krohn has big shoes to fill after the departure of Farfisa master Schuyler Feekes and drummer Joe Ryckebosch. But the new lineup is working on a new album and plans to start playing live again as early as December.

In other Rum Diary related news, vocalist-guitarist-bassist Daniel Mckenzie has another project called Identical Homes and plays bass in Built For the Sea. And bassist-vocalist-guitarist Jon Fee is playing songs with his wife Mimi in a project called Mijuanito.
