Student to Cal Admin: Clean Up Your Act


In today’s Daily Cal UC Berkeley students Jillian Marks and Michelle Nermon launch an attack on the UC administration for “the gross inequity that exists between exorbitant administrative compensations and the poverty wages paid to custodial workers.” While the topic itself isn’t new � the fact that janitors at Cal are paid considerably less than their local community college peers has been a hot button issue for more than a year � the eloquent, juicy-tidbit-filled op-ed merits a read by anyone who wonders where the $8,000 annual tuition undergrads pay is going.
