.No BART Strike

In case you missed it — the Bay Area averted a crippling transit strike when BART management reached tentative agreements with three of its major unions after months of difficult negotiations. According to the Chron, officials would not divulge the details of the pacts, but they are believed to save the public agency about $100 million. The deals were reached after a marathon 27-hour bargaining session on Thursday and early Friday. The rank-and-file members of the unions will vote on the tentative agreements in the coming days.
