This has got to be the worst week BART has ever faced. Before the death of Oscar Grant at the hands of a BART cop, the board was planning to figure out how to deal with a $37 million budget deficit. That issue has been tabled while officials figure out how to respond to the massive public outrage, but don’t think it will just go away. In fact, the Chron reports, board members are seriously considering closing some BART stations during the weekend.
