It’s All Grins and Giggles Up in Sacto

Attorney General Jerry Brown and state Treasurer (and former Hayward machine boss) Bill Lockyer got into a little friendly fuck-you-too last week, according to the Sacramento Bee. In a meeting with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Brown told the assembled wonks that he plans to cut his department’s legislative package by two-thirds because he thought California was already saddled with too many laws. “Since I was sworn in as governor, there have been 25,000 more,” Brown said. “Mostly cleaning up the laws you signed,” Lockyer retorted.
