Textile Earring Workshop with Marisol Catchings

We will be crafting easy-to-make Aztec & African textile earrings. These earrings are lightweight and super fun to create. This free workshop has 20 spots and is suitable for folks 12+, and will require the use of a hot glue gun, scissors, and bead reamer.
A free art kit of materials needed will be mailed out to participants, so sign up by Wednesday, February 17 to secure your kit!
Marisol Catchings-Frank is a San Francisco Bay Area artist and entrepreneur. She is the owner and creator of Azteca Negra, an art and accessories business that celebrates African ancestry in Latin America, as well as co-founder of Just BE, a community for Black Women Entrepreneurs. Marisol is best known for her art and most recently for her community-centered, Masks for Healthcare Campaign, which provides free handcrafted face masks to healthcare and frontline workers. She has been featured by Cosmopolitan, CNN, Telemundo, and many online publications for this community work. It is Marisol’s passion to create positive reflections of Black and Latinx cultures through art, and to uplift and create opportunities for Black and Brown entrepreneurs to create sustainable businesses.
