Colombian Roots Music
July 23 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us under the full moon for an intimate, open-air performance of dance music from Northern Colombia. Live at Brooklyn Basin, on the water’s edge!
Los Bahianatos [ by * yah * NAH * toes ] are dedicated to reproducing the rootsy sound of Colombian accordion music, including cumbia, vallenato, música sabanera and salsa colombiana. The shear breadth and variety of Colombian accordion music we cover is unparalleled in the Bay Area. Los Bahianatos will get you up and dancing all evening long, and whistling infectious melodies all the way home! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhVhC0mMBd34Qw1T39ER2brc8xQH6QVDx
We couldn’t have found a better location for our debut concert than the newly reconstructed Brooklyn Basin district of Oakland, with its awe-inspiring views of the bay and it’s elegant promenade. Located on the Oakland Waterfront – just a few miles south-east of Jack London Square – the space is reminiscent of Barcelona’s Las Ramblas and San Francisco’s Pier 39. bahianatos.eventbrite.com
