This week’s edition of the East Bay Express features local blues guitarist Ronnie Stewart and the history of blues in Oakland. Oakland’s 7th Street once flourished in that amazing sound, now lost.
In the Blues Pavilion at the Best of the East Bay Party, not only will we entertain you with some of the best local talent the blues scene has to offer, but we’ll also pay tribute to our area’s rich history. Look for recreations of Hayward’s famous Russell City, 7th Street, blues legend performers, photos and artwork.
