SF Assemblywoman Nancy Pelosi is giving her first speech as House Speaker-elect, the first woman to ever hold that title, about how “Democrats are ready to lead,” and we have to give her props for how very bipartisanly she has selected the color of the suit she’s wearing — it’s lavender. Red state + blue state = purple suit, right? Or is it, as one of our editors points out, a salute to “San Francisco values”?
